The Hampton Hilton Berlin Alexanderplatz is located in the heart of the city, just a few blocks from the Berlin Wall. The building changed the face of West Berlin and gave the divided city reason to believe that its problems were being solved not only by the United States, but also by Germany itself.
There are a few city buses that stop there, and there is a bus stop at the end of Alexanderplatz, just across the street from the Hampton Hilton. Tickets can be bought at a vending machine near the bus stops, which is good for two hours, but there are no tickets for the hotel or any of the other hotels in the area, such as the Hilton Berlin.
Since Hilton points are relatively easy to acquire, they have proved very valuable and I have seen prices ranging from 29,000 points to 43,000 points. The Hilton does not act like a price tag, so you do not have to spend more than a few hundred euros per night on a room.
